Concept Car : Hybrid Toyota Supra, the next Ferrari, and the Toyobaru Coupe 2011

It is time once again a popular news semi-permanent, where you can upgrade some interesting things happening in and around the world can drive, you probably will not read the article. (If you read the newspapers, that is.)

We start with two news sports cars such as Plessy Ferguson and gentlemen, are very different, but equally important.

The first message that, despite repeated denials to the public, Toyota is working on a successor Supra expensive sports cars. There are rumors that a new generation of packaging V6 hybrid drive from a total of 400 horses, but the production of hybrid versions of those life on our planet, thank you very much. RWD is almost certainly a style by the FT-HS concept car inspired by a chance to be. Hope next year's models, a concept car production in autumn 2011.

Toyota FT-HS Concept

Since the success of the Nissan was with him, it is surprising that Toyota waited so long that their average weight of a sports car. It would be interesting to see how the hybrid technology from Toyota is the high efficiency, especially because his only company exploring the possibilities of technology in sports cars. (See below).

A new sports car is being developed in Japan in the second, called "Toyobaru" cheap sports car jointly by Toyota and Subaru. After 7Tune, Sport Subaru STI variant of the device, except that Toyota has decided to offer a car engine.

The report also shows, insider Toyobaru has a style similar to the Lexus LF-A, which was a violation of the super-fans for many years, a concept car, a prototype machine, and even thinly veiled racism. Can it be assumed that the joint task Toyobaru (do not know how they will name it, I love the sound here) want to keep the price of 2 million yen today, a little 'more than $ 20,000.

The LF-A attempts to hide by closing its eyes and pretending it's invisible.

If they, the U.S. at that price, engine components up to 200-hp four-cylinder and six-speed manual transmission, which can begin in me. If at any time in the 2011 queue.

In other news related to sports cars, Ferrari, said that his successor can Autocar F430 show this year% u2019s Los Angeles Auto Show in December, as a hybrid. Go to another wipe the screen just caught spitting, I expect.

Yes, friends, Ferrari usually between Bentley and Pratt & Whitney  is organic does the idea that, hey, can perhaps begin hybrids fun! In fact, the recent patent hybrid four-wheel drive in an environmentally friendly technology, which seems strange that George Clooney nipple suit beats.

Do not wait for the AWD hybrid system F450, new construction, because all evidence points to a new center-Ferrari reveal your real name. The company is naturally concerned that customers are willing to "green" moniker Ferrari, concepts related to the hybrid version will be this winter. F450 Hybrid production is scheduled from mid-next decade.

Few details are known to F450, but I did not expect the formula that a 360 Modena, F430 V8 engine and a high success rate, two seats and has been stylishly. Energy is probably between 500-550 hp, seven speed dual clutch gearbox California.

In addition, in the human CzechFerrari.cz some pictures, which the F450 there is a right. Images do not reveal much, because the prototype of their miss back before and of its wheels and  most interiors. But if nothing else, with reference to the general shape of the car, and it looks pretty good so far. (For some reason, no pictures, so that they may be, but can provide all CzechTrade Ferrari pages of pictures.)

Finally, Kelley Blue Book published a list of what they describe as the best car this year, less than $ 18,000. Although he is not picky (oh, I say, screw that I have nits) a few words. First, Kelley says, the car less than $ 18,000, unless it is literally a car Big 18 species fell on the roof. Second, it seems that some peaks are required. Approach SYNC which reads aloud incoming tweets, but does not alter the fact that the skin was more or less the same car is sold ten years ago .

Concept car : BMW Active Hybrid X6 2010

BMW announced the production version of the BMW ActiveHybrid X6. The BMW ActiveHybrid X6 will make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in September and will reach US BMW Centers in fourth-quarter 2009. The overall drive system featured in the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 consists of a 400 hp twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine and two electric synchronous motors delivering 91 hp and 86 hp, respectively. Maximum system output is 480 hp, and peak torque reaches 575 lb-ft.

Precisely controlled interaction of the three power units optimizes the overall efficiency of the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 at all speeds, with acceleration from a standstill to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Top speed of the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 is limited electronically to 130 mph, with average fuel consumption in the EU test cycle improved by roughly 20%, and a CO2 emission rating of 231 grams per kilometer. EPA ratings will be available closer to the market introduction.

BMW ActiveHybrid X6 able to run exclusively on electric power – and that is entirely free of CO2 – up to a speed of 37 mph (60 km/h), with the combustion engine being activated automatically whenever required. With the two electric motors, three planetary gearsets and four multi-plate clutches, drive power is transmitted through a 7-speed automatic transmission. As would be expected in a BMW, the driver can operate the transmission manually. BMW’s lauded xDrive all-wheel-drive system distributes the power between the front and rear axles.

Concept car : Peugeot SR1 Hybrid 2010

200 years later since 1810 that Jean-Pierre and Jean-Frédéric Peugeot turned their father’s cereal mill into a steel foundry and took the Peugeot family into the industrial era, a new chapter in the Peugeot story about to open with a further evolution of the brand; a new styling direction, a new corporate Lion badge and a new signature – Peugeot MOTION & EMOTION.
Through the Peugeot SR1 Concept, the Marque reveals the stylistic design trends for its future models. The concept car embodies the new world of Peugeot, reflected by the new Lion badge which adorns its body.
Dynamic, balanced, sensual, with an exclusive high-tech interior, this “dream car” explores and reinterprets the theme of the “Grand Touring Car”.

Concept Car : Peugeot Stylight

Another entry from the Peugeot Design Competition is the Stylight, a 3-seater city hybrid car with a small 1.6-liter engine and an electric motor placed above the rear wheels. Ognyan Bozhilov, the designer, said that this arrangement “improves weight distribution, gets rid of the complex, heavy mechanics for power transmission and makes the unique, aerodynamic body possible.” The Stylelight also offers unique safety features: an expansive windscreen for maximum visibility, and LED tail lights designed so the harder you press, the more lights turn on.

Concept Car : HONDA S2000 OSM HYBRID TECHNOLOGY

Honda is doing a straight 180 on the next S2000, judging by the concept car revealed at the BIMS today. The Honda S2000, a dynamic marvel with that screaming 2.0-litre engine and excellent short-throw 6-speed gearbox, has been due for a new model for some time now, as rivals keep bettering their offerings. The concept uses Honda’s hybrid technology, although our feeling is this would not be the engine of choice when the street car debuts.

Featuring integrated rear lights, a flowing bodyline and a shape clearly related to the Civic hatch, the S2000 concept seems to have been shortened and its stance widened. There seems to be a lot of flow in the lines, giving the car cleaner, more seamless looks. Interior again, is a Civic relative of some note, peppered with blue background lighting, digital speed readout and utility buttons. And the concept is no longer a roadster; we see space for two baby hobbits at the back. No sign of where the roof goes though, and none of whether said roof is made of canvass or tin either.

Honda says that the OSM roadster on display at the 2008 British Motor Show is merely a design study, but given that “design study” is frequently a euphemism for “future design language,” we wonder if we’re seeing the next iteration of Honda car styling. Frankly, we hope so, because this is worlds better than what we’ve seen from the automaker of late, from the Accord right on up to the bland and bloated Pilot. The OSM, short for Open Study Model, is a shapely two-seat convertible that we’d be happy to drive today. Well, maybe with headlamps that weren’t lightsaber-sized. Other than that, we love the jaunty look, especially in back, where the taillamps sweep gently from one side of the car to the other. Since it’s a styling exercise, there’s no specific powertrain combination associated with it, but Honda assures us that the car is an indication that lightweight, low-emissions motoring needn’t be boring.

No kidding, guys. Inside, the cockpit basically evolves the two-tier instrument panel you’ll find in the current Civic into a far more attractive driving environment that we hope to see in road cars sooner than later. While Honda says there’s no plan to create a production sport/econo roadster like this anytime soon, somebody’s obviously thinking about it. Future S2000 replacement, maybe? “Design studies” such as this don’t happen by accident.

Concept Car : 3GEO - Hybrid

Eco Factor: Concept car powered by electricity and a conventional green engine.

Car designer Zdenko Vukoja has developed a concept car for Peugeot called 'The 3GEO.' The car carries a battery pack which works simultaneously with a conventional natural gas or biodiesel engine. To achieve maximum fuel efficiency the car has been made from lightweight but sturdy materials like carbon fiber and fiber glass.

To ensure the safety of the passengers the car carries a double floor chassis with aluminum fork with is connected to the front and rear suspensions of the vehicle. The simple and aerodynamic body ensures further fuel savings while making sure that the manufacturing process of the car doesn't prove to be a burden for the company.

Concept Car : Designed Especially For Superheroes

So far we have presented you many cool concepts like cars, bikes, and others. Today it’s time for another car concept which was designed especially for superheroes. I’m not a superhero, but I would become one if somebody would gift me this super car concept. The vehicle has an aerodynamic shape as it has to be very fast in order to help superheroes catch the bag guys on time.

It was designed by Matus Prochaczka and I don’t understand why doesn’t have any names. Well, no problem with that, every superhero can name it however he wants. All cars of the future will be green, and this one will be the same - the engine will be a hybrid based on biodiesel and electricity. Another reason for the car to be green is that superheroes are role-models for kids and they will follow their example and buy green cars when they grow up.

I don’t know what you think, but the design doesn’t look feasible to me and it’s very likely that this concept car will remain only a concept and we will be only see it in cartoons. I would like to be proven wrong and to see this green vehicle on the roads of my country in the near future, but first the designer has to find a car manufacturer to build it.

The Odd Concept Cars Nobody Covered at the Paris Motor Show

It's no newsflash that Russians have money these days, but what remains to be seen is whether rich Ruskies would be willing to spend their flash cash on cars built by the home team, Lada. But the home team may be ready to find out. Behold the Lada Revolution 3, a Russian supercar. Mid-engine, six-speed, rear-drive, low-slung, adjustable wing in back, this thing apparently has it all. Under the rear glass, under a cover that suggests it might be concealing a V-8, beats the heart of a Renault F4R774 2.0-liter four cylinder, making 245 hp, which is supposedly enough to hustle this thing to 62 mph in just 5.9 seconds en route to a top speed of 155 mph. Pagani has nothing to worry about. Yet.

If you think Russian concepts are weird, try this Hungarian one from the Andros Group. Called iSolo, it's an ultra-light (770-pound), aero-slick (0.22 Cd) three seat electric car that can run on solar energy gathered from the roof panels, plug-in power, or pedal power. That's right, each seat has two pedals that can be pumped to generate electricity. Top speed is said to be 80 mph. A multi-fuel range-extending combustion engine is in the works for a future show.

The name of this one almost says it all: Assystem City Car. w's this for a wacky hybrid. Four wheels arrayed in a diamond pattern. The front and rear wheels can turn fully 90 degrees in either direction, allowing the car to pivot about its center, or to drive into a parallel parking space and then pivot into position. Here's where it really gets weird. The front wheel is electrically driven, with the motor and four batteries all mounted on a turntable that includes a control arm and spring/damper for the wheel (the drivetrain is not unsprung, thankfully. The rear wheel is powered by a Honda scooter's 600cc motor, which again is mounted along with a small gas tank, on a turntable. Assystem is an engineering company, working with Franco Sbarro design, that is looking for a licensee to build the bizarre City Car. We wish them luck.

Lumeneo Smera. Billed as a 1+1 tandem, this four-wheeled enclosed motorcycle of sorts is powered by electricity, using a 30kW motor and a 10 kW-hour battery good for 150 km (93-mile) range. It rides on four 145/70R-14 tires and can lean 25 degrees in the turns. I wouldn't hold my breath for production ever reaching U.S. shores.
